We’re Hiring – Paid Search Specialist


Role Overview

It’s a great time to join WilsonCooke – we’re well established and have been in business for over 25 years, we have a fantastic office in Manchester city centre and we have huge growth ambitions. To support this we are looking to expand our Brand Performance Division. This is a very exciting opportunity to work with the Performance Director to shape our Paid Search Offering – working within our specialist Performance Pod.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years Paid Search Experience using Adwords / Analytics / Bing Ads and ideally 360 ( formally Double Click ). You will be working on a varied client base working with both B2C and B2B accounts looking at lead generation and eCommerce clients. An enthusiastic, proactive, results-driven and career-focused individual is crucial for this position.


  • Prior experience in paid search
  • Working knowledge of popular platforms:
    • Adwords
    • Display
    • Search ads
    • Video
    • Remarketing
    • Shopping & Merchant feed
    • Bing Ads
    • Facebook / Social Ad platforms
  • Experience with the following advantages:
    • Google 360 ( Formerly DoubleClick )
    • Programmatic platforms
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and identify opportunities and resolve problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Google Accreditation.
  • Strong organisational, time management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to set goals and use GTM an advantage
  • Degree/qualification in a relevant field an advantage
  • Working knowledge of Google Data Studio or similar an advantage.
  • Strong mathematical skills and working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets


  • Create and implement Paid search strategies in alignment with the overall Digital Marketing Strategy.
  • Track performance of our clients against agreed KPIs
  • Manage spend and budgets
  • Feed into client status, performance and monthly reports against objectives.
  • Identify keyword/phrase opportunities to drive the most valuable traffic
  • Write and create engaging ad content.
  • Carry out keyword analysis and forecast budget and performance.
  • Carry out competitor analysis to inform our own strategies.
  • Keep updated on the latest changes in Paid Search.
